My new translation of “The Evil Fortunes of Men”, is now available in the 2024 Winter Solstice edition of Eternal Haunted Summer. This translation represents an extract from a somewhat longer Old English poem known as “The Fortunes of Men”, which enumerates the various accidents of fate, both bad and good, that may befall the individual during the course of his life.
